It takes 5½ years for MBBS and then compulsory rotatory internship for some years. This isn't it, you need to pursue post graduation to choose a specialization in a stream, otherwise the graduation is not worth alone. You can say, this profession takes the longest to finish and get you settled. Enrolled student will be spending nearly a decade to finally become a doctor, maybe a bunch more if they do super-specialization.
