If you want to be a government teacher then after graduation you can pursue BEd which is a teacher's training program, especially if you want to teach at school level it's mandatory, you can also pursue your postgraduation as this will enable you to teacher higher classes, you can appear for CTET conducted by CBSE for recruitment at government schools, or even state levels there are exams such as TET which you can apply for, pursuing a teacher's training program has now become compulsory if you want to teach at school level, in case of university teaching there is no such criteria, you need to complete your master's degree in relevant discipline with 55% aggregate, there is relaxation of 5% for reserved categories, as you come from arts background you can appear for UGC NET, and further you can pursue your higher studies or apply for lectureship, there are also state level exams such as SET conducted for recruitment of assistant professor.
