Preparing for civils really requires a lot of time and efforts. So we can go for BA general course because in BA honours course you really need to study a lot. But if you can manage you can do BA hons too. It's completely up to you. Do whatever you are comfortable with .

Regarding the courses both courses are good. You can take either of them. Both courses on Political science and Geography are interesting and many career opportunities. So do whatever suits you.

For civils preparation, both the degrees are helpful but if you want to choose one , then you also look for a good institute which offers a good knowledge of that subject.

I'll also recommend you to see that you should also see your priorities like if you are good in a particular subject and want to get new knowledge and you don't need so much study , then you can take that subject . So that for other subject you can give more time and then you will also be handy to get good marks for University paper .

But if you want to take a particular and then you surely want an opinion of someone, then I will say most of the people study Environmental Science or Political Science.

Since it is very easy to study Environmental Science.
