Hello,

I will give you the information. To become an IAS officer you don't need a specific degree who can be helpful to you for IAS post. It totally depends upon the rank you will gain in the UPSC exam. But at the time of filling up the form of UPSC you have to clarify and mention your priorities in a sequence like whether you want to become an IAS officer, IPS officer, IFS officer, IRS officer etc. If a candidate wants to become an IAS officer he/she has to mention IAS on top or if someone wants to become an IFS officer then he/she has to mention the IFS on top or on position1 at the time of filling up form. To be eligible to appear for UPSC exam you must having a graduation degree in any stream or course. Final year students can also fill up the form but her/his should be available to him/her before a certain date. There is no particular degree which can get additional help or support in becoming an IAS, IPS or IFS officer. I hope you have got your answer.
