which degree is best to become a ias.
Hello,
Firstly IAS is related to political and themes like this so something related to social sciences would be the best option for this job.
The IAS subjects as per the ics syllabus includes mostly all the subjects that we covered in school in the name of general studies.
Civil Services include dealing with people and policies. History of India and Indian National Movement, Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World, Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc., Economic and Social Development - Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
Something with these subjects would be very good for your preparation and understanding.
Hope this helps!!!
You get to become an IAS after clearing every stage of UPSC exam and the eligibility criteria for UPSC exam states that the candidate must have completed graduation from a recognised university in any subject stream. So, the choice of subject and courses, depend on your interest. You can go for art's field, science field, commerce or any other field, complete graduation and fill the UPSC form.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
