Electronics and communication engineer can enter into the job market of computer engineering, Electrical engineering, instrumentation engineering, control engineering, robotics, mechanical engineering,  VHDL, VLSI.

Where as rest of the Engineers can opt for their field. Even though the IT field is diverse of engineering.  An electronics and communication engineer has lots of scope.

A telecommunication engineer is responsible for designing and overseeing the installation of telecommunication equipment and facilities, such as complex electronics switching system , copper telephone facilities and fibre optics. They have more Oppertunity in telecom field.

So I would prefer Ece over Telecom.

According to me Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering is better. Its advantage is that you can also apply for job in IT industry because in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering you will also get to learn coding and also circuit connections and many more things. And also in coming 4–5 years there is a lot of scope and job opportunities in this field. So if you are confused between Electronics Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering I would suggest that go with Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
