Which engineering branch is best for average student CSE or civil?
According to me computer science and engineering branch is far better than the civil engineering branch for an average student... Because, if you opt for civil engineering, then your mathematics must be strong enough.. As there are lot of derivations and mathematical calculations that you have to deal with in your 4 years...
But in computer science and engineering branch there are more programming and coding subjects.. There is less use of mathematics..
Therefore, an average or below average student can also opt for Computer science and engineering branch.. And cse offers good job opportunities as compared to the civil engineering.... There is more field work in civil engineering, but in CSE you just have to work with you laptop....
I personally suggest you to go for cse. You will never regret with your choice...
Wish you all the best!!!!!
I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.

Hello,
This is not how choosing an branch for degree in engineering works. First of all, the term average means different things for different people. If you are student with good aptitude and iq, then any branch in engineering should be good for you. If computers interest you then pick cse and if working in the field of construction intrugues you, then choose civil engineering. If you know nothing about both the branches, that is fine too. All you should do is, go through the programmes offered by various institutes and then read about the programmes and the career oppurtunities you will have if you pursue a degree in that field.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck!
