You can get into isro by any branch . Usually isro takes test for recruiting .

“ISRO is for all the students of India irrespective of branch they have taken in Undergraduation. They recruit students from Mechanical,Electrical,Computer Science,Electronics,Automobiles etc. This is because rocket science is not meant only for mechanical students anymore.A lot of programming is required and so the CS branch students, the microchips,circuit boards seek the help of electricals and electronics students”.
Every student in the hall was already dreaming about their future in ISRO.
But above all according to me Mechanical Engineering plays a major role when compared between other branches because the main body parts,the engine,the solar panel,the materials used for building the body are dealt mainly under mechanical field.
