Hey NIKHIL.... :)

This question is generally asked by students who want to choose any branch in engineering.

In my opinion both are equivalently good sector. Everything depends on your interest. In which field you want to make your career.

CSE course will be easy throughout your 4 years but ECE will not be that much easy. Any branch that is integrated with electronics is named as an evergreen branch of engineering.

Electronics is still an emerging sector in India and after the MAKE IN INDIA thing we see a lot of boost in this sector. Even today also most of the PSUs recruite Electorincs Engineering Students, but day by day its becoming hard to survive in sector related to CSE. More efficient people with lesser salary are available to work for the company and that is why people start getting kicked out during recession but if you are Excellent at Coding and computer interface then there is no stopping of you. You will definitely get a very good job....

Also if you want to work in field, you can apply for IES (Indian Engineering Services) which enables you to directly work as an executive engineer in government companies like BSNL,RAILWAY(RAILTEL),etc.Generally it takes around around 6 years to get stipend of executive engineer but cracking this exams enables you to have your promotions starting from executive engineer.

If you want to choose CSE then I would say that the maximum salary is get by the CSE students. They are the ones who top the placement chart in every college.

You just require EXCELLENT CODING SKILLS and if the company finds you comfortable for them, you are hired.....

Lastly I would say that ECE wont be an easy subject and if you are an average student then you should go for CSE as you will get easy placements but for ECE you need to work really hard.

All the best for your future :)

Hope this answer helps:)

Hi nikhil

Depending upon the interest you can choose either CSE or ECE. Both are the core branches of engineering. If you like programming, coding and networking you can opt for CSE. The scope of CSE in india is very good right now and as the world is growing its scope is also increasing exponentially. Now talking about the salary, average salary of a computer engineer in india is 3.6 lakh per year which is sufficient for a new engineer. On the other hand ECE is also very common and emerging branch of engineering. If you are good in communication and circuits ECE is a good choice. The scope of ECE is very high. You can join IT industry, airlines, telecommunication, etc. Indian armed forces also provides jobs for electronics and communication engineers. Jobs in govt. sector are more for ECE guys as compared to the CSE ones. The average salary of electronics and communication engineers in india is 3 lakh per year. So first of all find your interest and then taking all these point in mind choose your branch.

All the very best for your future.

see, it all depends upon your interest.

however in the corporate world, the demand for CSE is more in comparison to ECE.

so if you are confused, go for CSE.
