If you are passout of 12 and you want to join engineering college so I refer you in IT sector because in present time totally work on the basics of IT. If you want to join CS , EC EE. So you know about language (computer language) then you can fight in this field. IT sector is best for each and every type of work you can work all area those you like it. hai dear , jee mains and jee advance are most handful exams for engineering in india jee mains qulified allowes you for NIT(national institiute of techonology) and advance is for IIT(indian inastitute of techonology) on the other hand you will have regional entrance tests conducted by respective districts and some reputed institutes like BITS ,SRm,VIT and other have there own entrance tests
