There is nothing like anything better, its about your interest.

If you are more into tech and want to develop software application , you can opt for computer sciences, apart from that for automobiles opt for mechanical and for internet of things and communication opt for electronics and communication. Also you are not bound to these things, you can go for any Field being in any branch.

Hi Shahzad.

Greetings.

He best and evergreen engineering branch is mechanical engineering. It is one of the core engineering branches. It is the most pursued engineering branch too. But nowadays the students are preferring computer science branch over the mechanical branch.

Thank you. All the best.

Your question is a little vague so I will try to answer it by defining what I think you mean. I understand that you are asking what are the major fields of engineering and which are typically in demand. The traditional major fields of engineering are (arguably) mechanical, civil, chemical, and electrical of which electrical evolved into electrical and computer hardware. Computer science is major field often rolled in with engineering, but that varies widely. The job growth estimates for these major fields of engineering over the next 10 years are growing at close to the average for engineering, e.g. 7-11% according to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook. Another good source for learning about the engineering profession and jobs outlook is the American Society for Engineering Education and American Association of Engineering Societies.

Finally, every branch is best in it's own way.

Hello,

Confusion at this age is very common, therefore, I'll suggest that you shouldn't worry. I have categorized the answer into various points so that most of the queries will be answered. Hope this answer might be of any help.

BASED ON INTEREST

If you find computer science stuff like coding , programming etc etc damn interesting. . go with it !

But if you really love technical kind of things engines , cars , mechanisms bikes , jets and all those moving gears excite you and you are really poor at coding and all that ..go for Mechanical.

If you like electronics gadgets, antenna, circuits, semi conductor, then Electronics is best for you.

If you like working with heavy scale electric boards and machines, then Electrical is for you.

If building, roads, cool constructions is your liked things, then Civil is for you.

Based on Jobs

Government jobs will always favor core branches.

Private jobs will always favor Computer Science department.

Electronics student can enjoy both of these as they have a high demand in PSUs and programming field.

Based on Salary

Computer Science will always attract more salary.

All the best....

Mechanical engineering is always a evergreen field.

Why is it said so ?

Because without mechanical engineering it is impossible for the work to world.

Everything which has some mass has mechanics associated with it's motion.

In mechanical engineering you learn all solid, liquid and gas mechanics.

It has always good scope for research and still after so much advancement we are still unaware of so many things.
