Dear Aspirant,

Both tests are for the MBA programs, while MAT is basically for Tier II Business Schools of India.  The PGCET is for the state of Karnataka. CAT is for the top Business schools of India and the toughest to crack. So from an examination point of view MAT is easier.

So the first thing you need to decide if you are going to restrict yourself to the state of Karnataka or not.  Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) and it is conducted four times a year Feb,May,Sept & Dec.  You need to get at least 95 percentile to get into the top Tier-II, B Schools of India like: Xavier Institute of Management, Christ College – Bangalore, IMS – Ghaziabad, etc

Identify the schools that you can safely crack then find out their requirements and aim to do well in your chosen examination.

Good Luck
