Government Science College is situated in Bangalore in Karnataka state of India. Established in 1971, it is accredited from NAAC, AICTE and it is affiliated to Bangalore University. GSC, Bangalore offers 17 courses across 3 streams namely Science, Arts, IT and across 4 degrees like BSc, BCA, B.O.T, MSc.Hostel facility is not available for its students.

The placement cell of GSC is actively engaged in not only hiring activities but also organizes various training and developmental activities that help in personality grooming to enhance employability of students. A series of programs namely Manavathe, Vikasana, Sahayog, Naipunya Nidhi have been made available to build employability skills among students. In addition, industry representatives are invited to appraise students on job requirements. A wide range of career opportunities are made known to learners through placement cell activities. A series of skill training programs are also offered in this regard.
