where Information technology (IT) is the application of technology to solve organizational and business problems. This field of engineering uses network, storage, computers and other technical infrastructure for both hardware and software to deal with and manipulate data.

Coming to placement area both the courses have same placement opportunities. students of both the branches are eligible to work in software industry as many of the syllabus and subjects have same.

you can go with CSE if you are willing to go with design and implementation.
