In IAS Prelims, there are two papers-

1. General Studies 1
2. General Studies 2

After qualifying the prelims, th ere are 25 optional subjects in the IAS main exam and the candidates need to choose only one out of them.

As you can see that there are all the subjects out of which you can choose one. So, make that target subject your strength and choose that subject for your Bachelor's and go for B.A. or B.Sc. as per your choice.

Candidates can hold a graduation degree in any discipline. The candidates whose final result for the graduation is awaited also considered qualified. So you can choose any group for becoming eligible to give IAS.
