Dear Avneet ,

Now days and upcoming days these 2 courses such as Biotechnology and Agriculture are growth rapidly with provides various kind of employment opportunities .We will discusses briefly about these

There are a lot of BTech Biotechnology jobs available for the graduates  in chemical and textile industries, agricultural sectors, pharmaceutical firms and manufacturing industries. Professionals in this career can also opt for teaching jobs in universities and colleges. However, that is not all, one can also work in research laboratories, which are run by government or private sector companies. The average BTech Biotechnology salary in India ranging from INR 5-8 LPA, Ranbaxy, Cipla,Dr. Reddy’s, Bharat Biotech, Biocon, Indian Immunological, Serum Institute of India Ltd, etc are some of the top BTech Biotechnology recruiters.

Where in agriculture also there are plenty of government as well as private sector jobs available for BSc Agriculture graduates. They can be appointed as Research Officer, Quality Assurance Officer, Agriculture Officer, Agriculture Loan Officer (in Banks), Production Manager, Operations Manager and Farm Manager with State agriculture departments. In the private sector, agriculture science graduates may find jobs as managers at plantations, as officers at fertilizer manufacturing firms, agriculture machinery industries, agricultural products marketing firms, food processing units etc. The average starting salary of these officers is generally between Rs 5 to 6 lakh per annum (including incentive). And as you gain years and experience, the scope for better remuneration is immense. After doing BSc Agriculture, one may also go for MSc Agriculture and take up a teaching job, or even go for a PhD and build a career in Agricultural Research.

If we go through the above mentioned lines then we will know that both of courses are highly carrer prospective with employment opportunities but as per my opinion btech biotechnology is much job employments areas because in btech you not only read about biotechnology you also gain lots of transferrable skills such as management ,stack holders management ,entrupruneship development ,ecommerce etcc..

Hope it will helpful

Thanks

Hi Aspirant,

Both B.sc Agriculture and B.tech Biotechnology are high demanding courses.

Based on my Knowledge recruitment wise Agriculture is better. You have high chances of getting government jobs like Agricultural scientist recruitments, state govt through B.sc agriculture. But you have less chance of getting govt job through Btech Biotechnology.

Thank you.
