Which is a better college for MBBS? JIPMER Pondicherry or any other AIIMS than Delhi? I'm from Patna and I don't have a problem moving out.

Hello Shresth. JIPMER Pondicherry is one of the premium institution in India. It comes under top five medical colleges in India. This college provides 28 academic departments some of which are Regional Cancer Center, Transplantation Services, Dietetics, Cadiology, Neonatology, Nephrology, and many more. As this is among the top colleges, the merit of this college is extremely high. You need to score extraordinarily to get admitted in this college.

Christian medical College in Vellore is also one of the top 5 colleges of India. The selection is based on NEET. This college conducts a national level enterance test and following it there is a 3 day interview including group task and individual task. In this college you get hands on experience from the 2nd year itself.

The Armed Forces medical College at Pune, King George's Medical Univerity at Lucknow,  Kasturba Medical College at Manipal and University of Medical Sciences at Delhi are some of the top colleges in India.

I too am from Patna. By the way considering a college to get admission is really difficult. If you cleared both the JIPMER and AIIMS then that is really remarkable.

As far as AIIMs is concerned then AIIMS Delhi is not doubt the best medical College in India. But if you are not getting AIIMS Delhi then it is better to take admission in JIPMER. Not able the study environment is great in JIPMER but the quality of teaching staff as well the atmosphere among the students is also great. The patient influx is also great which is great in other AIIMSs as well but the administration is more organised.

I would recommend for you to explore more colleges according to your NEET rank if you qualified there as well because then you will have a wide range of options.

But without any doubt, JIPMER is one of the best medical College in India for both UG and PG and if you are getting a chance to complete your studies then you should not leave the chance.

JIPMER will give you more patient influx and good quality of hands on experience that other AIIMS like Bhopal, Jodhpur, Patna or Bhubaneswar. The infrastructure is also very new and unique at JIPMER.

I think JIPMER will be the best option for you if you are not getting AIIMS Delhi and should go for it.

If you are getting a chance to choose between JIPMER Pondicherry and other 6 AIIMS, I will suggest JIPMER Pondicherry and still, if you want to get into an AIIMS, AIIMS Bhubaneswar is good after AIIMS New -Delhi.AIIMS Bhubaneswar is located in the heart of the city, with many departments, facilities, has a research department, has most of the city dwellers coming here to solve their medical queries.
