Which is a better option eee in psg or ece in cit?
Hii,While there are several parameters with which you can decide this, I believe the best way you can choose a course is-
Asking yourself if you can do this for the next four years:
I hated C and C++ in 11th and 12th. Sitting in front of a computer gives me a migraine. Then CSE and IT aren't for you, brother/sister.
It seriously doesn't matter as to which object is sitting on that pulley, or how fast is that ball coming down from that building. Or how much that vehicle is accelerating. Then scratch out Mech, Auto and Prod.
Which way is the current flowing? Really? If Ohm doesn't let you be at peace (pun intended), then ECE, EEE and ICE are not your cup of tea.
Also, these questions can be applied vice-versa. As in, it really thrills you work with anything mentioned above.
PSG also offers courses on Biotech, Textile etc, haven't covered them as I didnt want it getting too repetitive. I think you can now figure out what entails the rest.
Faculty: Every department has got some professors who outshine the rest, and then there are the rest. Honestly, in engineering it doesn't matter. It all comes down to how good you're at learning the night before the exam or even on its morning. All that really helps with respect to faculty, is to be in their good books.
Placements: Ahh, the prize everyone takes home. Placements at PSG Tech predominantly favour the ComSc students as we mostly see software companies coming in. If you belong to another branch, you must be really good at what you in order to be able to get yourself placed. Else buckle up with your GATE and GRE coaching soon.
Crowd: Varies year-on-year, from department-to-department. If you're non-tamil, you can be assured that you have unofficially taken up an additional language course on tamil. If you're from within the state, I'm pretty sure your chest is swelling with pride for having bagged one prestigious institute in TN. Most people overlook this factor, and rightly so as no one can really assure you who you're gonna end up with. But very broadly speaking, streams PSG is most famous for usually has students that are more focused and less outgoing.
Apart from this, PSG is a challenging yet wonderful experience. These four years are the years you learn what the world is about. You grow in more than just one way. It shapes who you are as a person. Whichever course you choose, be rest assured that you are destined to become a person of brand value and quality.
