NCERT is your bible for Inorganic chemistry. You need to by heart everything line.

For other sections in chemistry, you should pick up any other good book like O. P. Tandon, L. G. Wade, for organic chemistry and any standard book along with NCERT for physical chemistry.

Chemistry books by Dr. O. P. Tandon published under GRB PUBLICATIONS are considered as one of best books for both medical as well as engineering aspirants. They have a large coverage of syllabus moreover the the explanation of basic concepts is given in sich a detailed manner that you can understand it yourself without the ad of anyone. Moreover previous year questions as well as their self composed questions are so useful that you are definitely getting related questions in every exams. If you want to go through more objective question and previous year papers you can go for DINESH OBJECTIVE FOR CHEMISTRY. However they are struggling with the problem of publishing right answers sometimes but you can easily go through all the question and moreover the explanation given is so emphasised that it provides enough aura for your preparation.

Good luck.

Hey Saksham,

  • Chemistry includes 45 questions which carry 180 marks wherein the aspirants will be required to be familiar with three subjects - Organic, Inorganic and Physical. These sections are best covered by the NCERT Class XI and XII Chemistry books.

  • JD Lee includes multiple-choice questions which are really good for students preparing for NEET.

In my opinion, you should focus on the NCERT books only for Chemistry and then solve objective type of questions from a question bank with Solutions. Studying books thoroughly is a huge ordeal by itself. The other reference books will not be needed if you thorough your concepts from the NCERT.

Hope you find this helpful. All the very best for your preparations.
