see both of the stream is quite different, syllabus, course curriculum and work ethics is also not similar to each other. however you can make a good career by selecting either of the stream. now let me explain you the basic overview of both of the stream is as follows.
b.tech In electrical engineering- this is mostly a circuit branch , main concepts on electricity, power generation, distribution, control system, analog and digital electronics etc. work opportunities is available in electricity distribution and generation, manufacturing industry, software engineering etc.
B.tech in mechanical engineering: This course includes machine design, fluid mechanics, work power generation , working and development process of machinery , computer based design lab and software. work opportunity is available in government and private sector, private organization and manufacturing industry, software engineering etc.
