Listen both the colleges are nearly the same in placement records,jamia is a well known institute while at IET,Lucknow you can get plenty of time for learning new stuff.

It depends on your preference whether in which location you want to prefer.According to reputation,both the colleges are equally good in terms of Alumuni record,decent placements.etc

Both of the colleges mentioned by you are good enough and have nearly same in infrastructure and faculities .But I would like advice you to go for jmi as placement is not the product of college but your hardwork also plays same role in this. In JMI you have little more opportunities for other relevant factors like joining coaching for further preparation during college time which will be fruitful to you.

But last all depends on you.

IET LUCKNOW is better as  compared to  JMI.  IET LUCKNOW: This College is good in terms of placement, faculty and academics . It is also  good in infrastructure.

Placements :My college Institute of Engineering and Technology had a very good placement record earlier as our seniors and some professors used to tell us. People were getting hired for very handsome packages (12-18 LPA), but right now due to certain issues very few companies visit to our placement drives for Chemical Engineering Dept. The placement for CS and IT are good enough and companies like Infosys and Wipro come on a yearly basis.

So go through this College properly. You can come to know about this College by visiting their respective websites. Do your counselling properly.
