both the nit's are very good but NIT silchar has an edge over NIT patna in terms of infrastructure.both the colleges have very good placements.almost 90% student got placed in both.NIT silchar is  better in infrastructure and no of facilities also it is established earlier than than NIT patna.

NIT patna is established in 2004 while NIT silchar is established in 1967.

Highest package offered till now in NIT patna is 36 lpa while in silchar it is around 33 lpa but the average package is around 7 lpa in both the NIT's. .so overall both the NIT,s are very good but nit silchar is more reputed.
