For CAT and in general for other management exams too like XAT, CMAT, etc you can solve quantitative aptitude by Arun sharma. The book is well written such that theory and numerical both are in adequate proportion. Though pearson is also good and one can follow it too. Arun sharma is one of those books recommended by all toppers.

Pearson is the best known book for most competitive entrance examinations may it be CAT, MAT, GMAT, GRE, etc. Pearson includes lots of grammar concepts including voices, figures of speech, direct indirect speech, etc. Also it has various reading comprehension paraphrases with decent vocabulary. So this book has proved to be really helpful for most of the students.
