Which is better aeronautical or aerospace??Which would have more scope??
Dear Harish,
Aeronautics deals with the study of aircraft material such as aeroplane, etc whereas aerospace deals with the concept of design, operation and construction of space vehicles.
Aerospace engineering is a skill based career and requires high expertise. You can go for public sector such as ISRO, ADE, NAL, DRDO and private sector such as Mahindra aerospace, Taneja aerospace. You can also work in abroad. The salary is very handsome.
In aerospace engineering is better from my point of view as it deals with space and aeronautical is a subdivision under aerospace engineering.
The choice is yours and both are good. Look out for your interest.
Regards
Aerospace engineering deals with the design and building of aircrafts and spacecrafts where as aeronautical engineering deals with design and building of aeroplanes etc.It is a part of aerospace engineering. Both of them have equal opportunities and scope.
Like Aero-space which means you deal with space crafts more like space shuttle, space crafts, rockets etc.
In Aero-nautical you deal with air crafts that are bounded by earth.
You can do your masters in Aeronautics, in aerospace, masters in aerodynamics etc.
The starting salary of an Aerospace engineer is 50,000/- on an average it increases with experience.
The starting salary for an Aeronautical engineering is in between 10,000/- to 40,000/-.
There are private sectors as well as Government sectors which offer job as Aerospace/Aeronautical engineer.
Government sectors like
- ISRO
- HAL
- NAL
- NASA
- DRDO
- Air India
- L&T
I hope this is helpful.
All the best!
