Hey Harsh.
The question you have asked is very subjective as well as tricky. Talking of CLAT, it gives you admission in one of the most prestigious NLUs , which are 18 in number. Whereas kn AILET there is only one participating NLU, NLU Delhi, with around 60 seats in it.
This was about seats and opportunities. Now talking of tge exam itself. AILET is MORE DIFFICULT than CLAT. You want to know how, pick up last 3 years CLAT and AILET papers and try to solve them in the time limit. You will get some idea as to which has more tough to tackle questions. CLAT has 200 questions with 2 hours in your hand to make it. AILET has 150 questions with only 90 mins i.e. 1.5 hours. This might seem legit here but the reality is not the same.
However there is one positive with AILET which is that it has no negative marking, while CLAT has a -0.25 for each wrong question.
Now the decision lies with you to judge which is better to obtain in terms of doability. It is believed that one should prepare for AILET, CLAT will happen automatically.
I can only provide you information and facts. But the final decision is with you because no one can measure your capability better than ypu yourself.
Hope this helps you. Please feel free to respond and ask further questions.
All the best.
