Which is better among petrolem engineering at jntuk or anits mechanical?
Hi Hari Krishna,
It is one of the oldest University in Andhra Pradesh and it has well-experienced professors. Even though it has good professors but most of them regularly don't take the classes as they were busy in the administrative chores. Coming to labs it has almost very old equipment but this year SIEMENS company established the centre of excellence in the mechanical engineering department and electrical engineering department which has almost the world-class laboratories especially in Rapid prototyping, CNC etc.Sooner or later probably they may establish labs for other branches also. The cons it got are the area which is not developed well and we can not take coaching classes for GATE and other competitive examinations.
Coming to JNTU Vizianagaram it was established recently. It is not much reputed as JNTU Anantapur. It also got well-experienced professors and I don't know much about the laboratory facilities there. The advantage you will get is that you can be coaching for GATE and other competitive examinations as it is near to Vizag.
I say it because studying in local engineering colleges like anits will not recognize multinational companies. there will not be training for your extracurricular activities which are very essential for your placement.they will strive only for your CGPA percentage.
The courses for BA in anits are
-CSE,ECE, mechanical,EEE,civil,chemical
And IT
To my knowledge, you will get more job opportunities in CSE, ECE, EEE
Remaining are useless
For mechanical the branch is very good but there are fewer placements, you should prefer off campus.
Hi Hari,
JNTU Kakinada is one of the oldest universities in Andhra Pradesh. University College of Engineering, Kakinada was ranked 97 among engineering colleges by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2018. The average package is around Rs.5-8 LPA .
Thank you and best of luck.
