Both the degrees are equally good. Liberal arts will give you an exposure to many subjects such  Art History, Music, Geology, Biology, Psychology, Mathematics, History, English etc. This will provide you a well rounded education and development in all these subjects. Liberal arts opens up a plethora of career options such as journalism, public relations, writing, law, social work, psychology, linguistics, marketing etc. Therefore the scope of liberal arts is endless.

BA in certain discipline will give you in depth knowledge in the selected subject. If you know that you need to specialize in something such Psychology for example then BA Psychology will be a better option as it will be beneficial for your career later.
