As per my knowledge,, B.Tech cse would be best choice, reason-

  1. B.C.A. can be abbreviated as Bachelor of Computer Application.
  2. 3 years program.
  3. Of less value when compared to BE in Computer Science.
  4. We study mostly about the application of Computer and also software.
  5. To increase the value of your degree in long run, stand at upper level from crowd you may have to further move for M.C.A. ( Master of Computer Application) as only BCA have less demand in market.
  6. You will get less pay for your work.

B.E. in Computer Science :-

  1. It’s Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science.
  2. 4 years program.
  3. Have better value in market as compared to BCA.
  4. We study both about hardware and software of computers.
  5. BE in CS = BCA + MCA
  6. Master degree = Master degree
  7. Every degree have their own value…
  8. You can earn as per your talent.

There are many Universities & colleges offers B.Tech cse Course. For this course, I would suggest searching for the best University on the basis of Ranking, education, placements, academics, etc.

GU Panipat has a remarkable placement record as the institute invited leading companies to form different sectors. The faculty and placement team help students build industry-specific skills for better placement opportunities. Not only that but the university provides 100% assistance related to placements. The whole curriculum is structured in a way that enables students to develop both soft skills as well as hard skills.

Hi Venkatesg,

B.Tech and BCA seem to be alike but they have differences too.  These differences determine which one is best for you.

B.Tech in Computer Science is an undergraduate course of 4 years duration and it deals with the overview of basic principles of computing and its application in practical life. It focuses on the engineering considerations in the computing system design, its implementation and its overall usage in human life. This course gives special attention to the programming concepts in different languages.

B.C.A stands for Bachelor of Computer Application and it is an undergraduate course of 3-year duration. subjects involving computer languages, database management, operations systems, logical analysis, software design and client-server technology.

B.Tech in Computer Science and Opportunities

The person with a B.Tech in Computer Science graduation has a great scope ahead. He can go for various higher studies including Masters Degree in Computer Science, Master of Business Administration and also he can do various short term and long term certifications which enable him to grab a better job with good salary. After pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science, he has a lot of job opportunities available in the Government organizations as well as Private firms. Some of the job profiles for a B.Tech in Computer Science graduate include the following:-

Software Engineer

Software Tester

Technical Support

System Analyst

Almost all types of firms are computerized today and there will be need of a variety of software projects for various applications every now and then and because of that, there is a need of Computer Engineer in every field.

B.C.S and Opportunities

Students usually start as a Junior Programmer or a Software Tester and then move higher up the ranks to the role of a Senior Programmer. IT industry is booming in India and you can find many companies with vacancies in IT branches. While BCA gives students a good technology knowledge, it is advisable to complete your MCA to give yourself career wise push. After graduation, a student with a B.Tech degree has greater job opportunities than a student with a BCA. Still, junior programming positions and software testing jobs are available to BCA graduates; from there you can climb up.

The key difference between B.C.A and B.Tech in Computer Science

B.Tech in Computer Science is a course of 4-year duration whereas B.C.S is a course of 3 years duration. B.Tech in Computer Science deals with the overview of basic principles of computing and its application in practical life whereas a B.C.S course involve computer languages, database management, operations systems, logical analysis, software design and client server technology The job opportunities, job profile, as well as the salary packages of a B.Tech in Computer Science graduate and a B.C.A graduates, are extremely different.

I think this has given you the right idea and now you know which is best for you according to your interest.

All the best

Hello Venkatesh,

You can do  both of the courses either BCA or B.tech computer science. As both of the courses are similar. check the  syllabus for the both. The one which teaches the latest programming tools , the better. It terms of degree BCA seems to be more important and you can follow it with an MCA.

On the other hand B.tech is enough for a student to get job iMNC if the person belongs to some of the good institute that help student  to get a good package.

Hope it helps.

Thank you :)
