which is better BSC in Forestry or BE in Information science (if I get top 5 colleges in karnataka ) to get good salary ?

Both of the courses you mentioned are really very different from each other. So, it'll be good if you go by your interest. I'll give you a brief account of the career scope and salaries for both of these professions :-

1. Bsc forestry: 3 year full time undergraduate programme in the field of forestry.  Initial salary ranges from 2 LPA to 7.5 LPA depending upon various factors. You can do the following in this particular discipline:

  • Lecturer/professor
  • Forester
  • Forest range officer
  • Forest technician
  • Forest officer.

2. BE in information science: a four year full time undergraduate degree programme offered in the discipline of IT and computer science. Average starting salary is 14,000 to 18000 per month, depending on various factors. Scope :

  • Software tester
  • Software engineer
  • IT manager
  • Web designer
  • App developer.
