Both doing MBA  from top b -school and UPSC are good career options. As both have good salary and benefit of itself.

If you do M.B.A from top b school you get chance to work in private companies where you get good salary depending on your skills. You will grow your career as you proove your skills.

On the other hand if you are interested in social work and want to work for betterment of people you can give upsc exam and become an IAS or IPS. Here you have fixed salary and increment.but it provide a kind of prestige and honor.

Both career options are good it depend on you to choose that career which suits your intrest best.

Both the choices are good in their own field. It actually depends on one's interest.

IAS and IPS are the most respected and most responsible jobs of Central government. If you want to serve your national with the help of your intelligence, if you have interest in administrative or police services, then you can definitely go for UPSC. The advantage of these jobs is that they are government service jobs. So, your future will definitely be secured and if you are an IAS or IPS, then you will have a lot of power with which you can serve the nation and work for betterment of people.

MBA is all about management. After pursuing MBA from top B-Schools, you may get chance to work with any MNCs. You will get a lot of salary and a well settled future.

But when we compare both the choices with career prospectus excluding the interest, then IAS/IPS is always a better choice. UPSC is the toughest exam in India and if you think that you are capable of qualifying it and get desires post then you should definitely go for the exam. There are lot of people who paas out from top B-Schools and get a huge package job. But the number of IAS and IPS coming out every year is very less. So, overall talking, IAS and IPS are the best option if you want a respectful and responsible job.
