In my opinion both have promising career outlook. While animators create designs as well as animations that are used by the clients & entertained audiences. We can say that graphic design makes a goods based for animation because in graphic designing you learn how to make designs. Both the fields are important for the designers. If you have basic or advanced knowledge of graphic design then it will help you a lot to understand animation. In graphic design they teach you all the fundamentals of design like typography, colour scheme and layout composing. Where in animation you need all this skills to make your animation more interactive and engaging.
