Which is better computer science technology or information science engineering. Which has more value and placement
IT is more of a Professional track course. You are taught about systems and their functioning on a need to know basis. You are taught regarding the basic applications of a technology. It makes you an expert at the surface level of the tech, which will aide you to develop skills required at the industrial level. A good example would be a Network Administrator. You need to know about Networking and some basic hardware and software rules. IT can teach you what you need to know about their functionalities.
Computer Science and Engineering on the other hand, is dedicated to both professional and research tracks. A Computer Engineer is someone who would have indepth knowledge about the Hardware systems as well as the Software systems. Although, Computer Engineers are often categorised with Electrical Engineers. As they are both dedicated to expertise in the Hardware division while having above average knowledge on Theoretical or Software division of Computers.
Hello
Both are equivalent and shares almost same subjects and opportunities. Basic different is,CS is study of principle of computing and problem is solved while IT is about study of sofware tools.
Talking about placement, now its totally about the skills ,knowledge and compatibility. No matter from which branch you are from, you can secure a job IT companies
So for this branch , its you who will add value .
Feel free to ask..
Good Luck...
If we take information science in b.tech can I go for the job of computer science
Dear Aspirant,
If you are a good student with good mind for mathematics then go with computer science as this has many deep subjects which dealt with the underlying working of computer systems. However, if you are an average student, and not much interested in mathematics, then go with Information Technology as this does not involves much complicates study of computer systems.
For placements, both are good but CS definitely has an upper hand in the placements and value.
Hope this helps. Thank you.
