Both ECE and EIE have different Scopes and opportunities to offer to students.
EIE has a wide scope considering the flexibility it offers.EIE graduate can consider a path in electronics/automation/control/instrumentations/power/steel/telecom/network/oil and gas etc. Another aspects of EIE lies in the engineer involvement in field of automation. Automation is one of the latest trends in all industries.
ECE is another such broad field of engineering. Electronics and communication involves the transmission of information across channels like coaxial cable or optical fibre. It also deals with designing equipment such as routers, switches, fibre optics and electronics switching systems.
Hello,
Both ECE and EIE are having good scope in today's industrial world. Both are required for specific tasks. In some industries electrical engineers are replacing instrumentation engineers but that's not on a mass level. ECE and EIE both have lot common in theory. In EIE you study more about instrumentation and process control whereas ECE is more about communication.ECE students can also get recruited in software companies but EIE has lesser chances. Software Companies prefer more ECE as they have good knowledge of electronic components and communication system.
Hope this helps
All the best!
ECE and EIE both have good career opportunities. They are somewhat common in theory too but the only difference is that ECE is more about communication while in EIE you study instrumentation. There is less competition in competitive exam for EIE. But I repeat again, both have equal career opportunities so choose what suits your interest. If you would like to study morr instrumentation then go for EIE and vice versa.
Hope it will help.
