Both have their own reputation. Either of them is better in one or the other way. If you are passionate about coding and computers, then you should opt for CS from VIT. IF you are not that passionate towards coding and stuff then choose ECE from IIT. Both will have heavy competition when it comes to education. You can prefer IIT rather than VIT because VIT( Vellore Institute of Technology) is a deemed university. But when it comes to IIT( Indian Institute of Technology) Jabalpur it comes under central government of India. When it comes to placements companies would prefer IIT over VIT.
