Hey Anurag,

Both are equivalently good sector. To be precise ECE is better than CSE only relying on the condition that your’re not a good programmer(JOKING).

CSE course will be easy throughout your 4 years but ECE will be very tough.Any branch that is integrated with electronics is named as an evergreen branch of engineering.

Electronics is still an emerging sector in India and after the “make in India” thing we see a lot of boost in this sector but day by day it’s becoming hard to survive in sector related to CSE. More efficient people with lesser salary are available to work for the company and that is why people start getting kicked out during recession but since ECE has a demand everywhere, there might be a chance that you survive the heat.

Also you want to work in field, you can apply for IES (Indian Engineering Services) which enables you to directly work as an executive engineer in government companies like BSNL,RAILWAY(RAILTEL),etc.Generally it takes around around 6 years to get stipend of executive engineer but cracking this exams enables you to have your promotions starting from executive engineer.

Lastly I would say that ECE won’t be an easy subject and if you are an average student then you should go for CSE as you will get easy placements but for ECE you need to work really hard.

Best of luck!

CSE is one of the top branch for btech studies these days.

So keeping the trend in mind you can choose CSE.

You can know about CSE below:

All about CSE

Also the admission in CSE is not that easy the cutoff goes high.

ECE is also among top branches so incase you are unable to make to CSe then you can choose ECE.

All the best.

Sister I've got 86.9 percentage in +2 and I'm an average student I've got a seat in SRM katthankulathur Chennai and I'm allotted with ECE. I tired a lot to get a seat in CSE but i didn't get it. Sister can I perform good in my 4 years without any backlogs. Should my level of hardwork should be medium or high according to my percentage in +2. Will ECE be difficult for me or can I do it? Plz tell me sister
