Both CSE and IT are very promising subjects. Computer Science Engineering is a course which deals with a broader perspective in coding, Computer Organization, Computer Architecture and Data Organization and categorization. Thus CSE is a broad field of subject which is involved from Hardware to Software.
Information technology is quite a applied subject dealing with the Data Organization, Data Management, representation of data and Data utilization mainly. The course offers a broad sense in Coding as offered by CSE but from other perspectives its a bit narrow in terms of the spectra of options available.
But the matter of fact is most of the jobs in CSE and IT are coinciding. So both of them get equal scopes although if you want to get a better spectra of space to explore then I would say go for CSE.
