which is better d.el.ed or b.el.ed in terms of job ?
Hey Seema
As far as I know B.El.Ed is a four year course after which you can directly apply for TET and get a decent government Job without doing B.Ed.
However with D.El.Ed. you will be able to apply for private and government schools, nursery, daycare centres, as online educator, or work in coaching centres and as private tutor . You can work as a junior teacher, content writer and/or reviewer librarian, record keeper and even as an education counsellor.
If you want to teach only till primary level then D.El.Ed is better. If you want to teach in secondary or higher secondary you should go for B.El.Ed.
I hope you are doing well !

B.El.Ed degree opens various employment opportunities in the education sector. - Government/ Private Schools
- Coaching Centres

- Publishing Houses
- Colleges/ Universities
- Research & Development Agencies
- Private Tuition/ Home Tuition
In the other hands D.el.ed In India, different states conduct their own recruitment test for the post of Elementary Teacher in government schools. On the other hand, there are huge number of jobs in private schools across the country. If you are aiming to be a teacher, it is advisable to clear the CTET/ State-Level TET exams. These exams will give you eligibility to teach in government. private schools. Apart from teaching, there are different career options that a candidate can take up after D.El.Ed .
- Private schools
- Government schools
- Nursery
- Daycare centres
- Online Educator
- Coaching Centres
- Private tuition classes
But as per my opinion B.el.ed having more opportunity rather then d.el.ed because first of it is a Diploma course where recruitment's scope is little bit less .
I hope it will helpful
Thanks
