FSM:
Placements : Many companies visit the campus and the overall placement scenario is good. The highest package for 2017-19 batch in final placements was Rs. 31 Lacs although in UAE and the highest in finance was around 14-15 Lacs in India. Companies that visit include Nestle, Jumbo Electronics, EY, KPMG etc.
Infrastructure : Infrastructure is okay as the campus is small but the college tries to compensate by providing all the latest facilities like motion sensing lights in the corridors and washrooms, clean washrooms, projectors and computer enabled classrooms etc. The college is located in a very nice spot in south Delhi so that is also a plus.
Faculty : Faculty especially in the marketing is good. The professors are well qualified and try to teach through cases and real life problems that the industry is or has faced. The curriculum is well laid out, the teaching happens through case studies and all the important topics are covered.
Sorry to say cutoff for 2019 is not declared.once its updated I will definitely let you know about the cut off marks.
hope it helps.
thank you
GOOD LUCK!
Greetings Rawat!
Hope you're doing great.
Both colleges that you've mentioned Delhi School of Economics and FORE school of management is one of the tier-1 colleges in Delhi region. The industrial exposure and placement opportunities provided at the institute is pretty good and every year almost all of the students get placed with decent packages. Now let's talk about the colleges and their features;
Delhi School of Economics: Delhi School of Economics, commonly referred to as DSE or D School, is a centre of post graduate learning of the University of Delhi. Widely regarded as one of India's finest academic institutions in social sciences, especially in the discipline of Economics, the Delhi School of Economics is situated in University of Delhi's North Campus in Maurice Nagar, amidst a host of other prestigious academic institutions of the country.
The salient feature of the institute is the well-qualified faculty and infrastructure. The facilities and exposure provided to the institute during their stay at the campus are unparallel. The average salary of the student is around 15 Lakhs and the fee is somewhere around 15k only. So, it's a pretty decent college in terms of placements and ROI.
FORE School of Management: Apart from the wonderful campus and infrastructure, FORE is a regional player when it comes to imparting business knowledge to its students. Foundation for Organisational Research and Education (FORE) is committed to the advancement of Management Education, Research, Training and Consultancy. Incorporated in 1981, as a non-profit institution, FORE has been working with industry and academia for developing new domains of managerial thought and education and contributing to building leaders in today's global business environment.
The academic diversity at the campus gives an overall learning experience with the peers. The average salary at the campus is 10.10 Lakhs, which is pretty decent. However, the fees are on the high side which is around 15 lacs. Although, the facility and infrastructure that you get in FORE campus are at par compared to the Delhi School of Economics.
The choice is totally yours, If you want to plan MA in economics then Delhi School of Economics is an excellent choice but if you're looking for a more professional degree in management i.e MBA then FORE School of Management should be your first preference.
Hope, this will help. Do reach out in the comment section below if you need any help.
All the best!
Two different category. Delhi School of Economics is a low cost public college affiliated to University of Delhi, offers MBA in IB and HRM, with limited seats and decent packages in placements with high ROI.
Whereas FORE School of Management is private Business Schools offers PGDM , PGDM IB and Financial Management, situated in the heart of the city in Qutub institutional area with premiere institutes like IIT, JNU, IIFM in the surrounding. Being private off course the fees are higher, with better placement opportunities, learning experience and alumni.
Average Placement for the batch 2016-18: DSE was 9.64 lpa for HRM & 9.05 for IB and Fore School 10.4 lpa.
Average Placement for the batch 2017-19: DSE yet to declare final placement whereas Fore is 10.8 lpa. Check: http://campusutra.com/ContentEventPlacements.aspx?id=3864&name=FORE-School-release-final-placement-data-for-the-batch-2019.-
