You should go for B.tech after 12th class as it will provide good placements and knowledge. Many top colleges don't provide lateral entry. so, it is better to give entrance exam after your 12th class to get into top colleges.

Usually all says btech but I must say if you got govt polytechnic college then this is best option than pursing btech from private college.
After polytechnic from govt college you will get around 2.4 lakh per annum which is good as compared to fee of govt college

Diploma is only a professional course which doesn't provide you any Graduation Degree but B.Tech or B.E course is equivalent to Graduation Degree. So don't think twice. Just Go for B.Tech or B.E. Polytechnic Engineers are teated as technicians in any private organisation because they are considered only as class 12 passed+a professional course.

around 4 or 4.2 and if you complete mtech from good private like bits,vit or any govt college then around 5lakh.
