Hi Vanshika
Both are better in their own aspects and are equally reputed in New Delhi.
It depends upon what you want from engineering college , which department you want to choose.
Otherwise, both have advantages as well as disadvantages.
DTU is Much Older Institute as compared to NSIT, so that's why DTU is more popular in general.
Also DTU has larger campus as Compared to NSIT.
If you are self dependent and can do academic stuff on your own and can take care of end sem exams by studying on your own then you can choose DTU. But, if you really concerned with classes , lectures then go for NSIT.
In terms of placement, most of the companies visit both the college's and offer almost similar packages. So no. Of companies including DTU is more including startups and Small firms. But you will get lot of opportunities at both places.
Coming to NSIT, NSIT is affiliated to Delhi University, so students getb2 degrees at the end of 4 years of graduation, one from NSIT and other from DU. DU degree makes you more recognised abroad.
Also, NSIT has updated curriculum, CGPA system has been introduced, Introduction of elective courses which are helpful in overall development big students, and also you don't have to study those subject which have got nothing to do with your course.
And it also depends on branches you choose, for COE/IT, NSIT is best
Whereas for Computer related courses, DTU is good .
Faculty and placements wise NSIT is marginally ahead. And also as compared to NSIT , DTU is over coowded so competition is more in DTU.
Both colleges are food, it's upto you which one suits you or it depends upon criteria on which you are comparing these two.
So feel free to ask anything related to your query.
All The Best!
