which is better engineering course ?BE or B.Tech
Hi,
B.E. stands for Bachelor of Engineering and B.Tech stands for Bachelor of Technology. At present there is no difference between both the degrees and they are considered equivalent. If we talk about any difference then B.Tech deals with more practical learning while B.E. is more theoretical as compared to B.Tech.
Some of the major differences between the two courses are
- B.E. Is considered a knowledge-oriented course and B. tech is considered as skills oriented courses .
- In B.E. there is a strong emphasis on theory and focuses on strong fundamentals and in B. tech Experimental applications are more emphasized rather than theoretical aspects.
- In B.E.Being knowledge oriented, the syllabus is updated but not as frequent as others and in B. tech Being technical oriented, the course syllabus is considered more up-to-date.
- In B.E. Internships and industrial visits may be an essential part of the course in B. tech Internships and industrial visits are an essential part of the curriculum.
- In B.E. universities which offers B.E. They also provide other degrees (like science, art, education etc.) and in B. tech Generally, institutes are only engineering students, whose degree they want to pursue.
Hope this will help you !
Hi
When it comes to which one out of Be & Btech is better then actually, there is not much difference between BE i.e Bachelor of Engineering and BTech i.e Bachelor of Technology
------------------) The difference just lies in their name
-
Generally the University or Colleges which offers various courses like BSc ,Bcom etc along engineering courses , name their engineering course as BE
-
While college /universities which offers only in engineering courses etc name the engineering course as BTech.
------------------) One minor difference between BE and BTech is that,BE is a bit more theoretical oriented while BTech is more application based oriented. So just to answer your question, Btech has an edge over BE
But there's no major difference in BE and BTech , both are equally reputed and both have almost same syllabus, course etc.
Actually, what matters is the engineering college from which you pursue your BE/BTech ,
-
brand value of the college,
-
its past placement records,
-
industry exposure provided by the college etc
because your starting package and placement after completion of the course is mainly dependent on college’s name, brand, the skills your have etc not whether it offers BE or Btech.
