Hello,
According to me, microbiology is better than food technology as microbiology has a more diverse and variety of options when it comes to post graduation. Both branches are good and it depends upon your interest but according to me microbiology is better and has greater aspects.
Hope this helps you.
Good luck!
Hii
According to me taking microbiology as your undergraduate course will be a better choice due to the fact that food technology is a part of microbiology in the form of food microbiology which will cover a major portion of FT including microbial spoilage of food products, industrial manufacturing processes and fermentation processes. But on the other hand, by taking food technology, you'll barely get to study about microorganisms. The point that I'm trying to make here is, you can shift from microbiology to food technology easily but the vice versa is sort of difficult.
Hope it helps
Thankyou
