When you have to compare two colleges and have to arrive at a conclusion then you have to choose some of the parameters. This parameters can be a distinct number of events but to conclude this answer I am choosing some of the most important parameters like:

• Infrastructure
• Curriculum
• Faculties
• Placement

Infrastructurally there are no point to differentiate this two colleges as they both have brilliant infrastructure. Now IIT-ISM is a older institute compared to that of IIT Patna. The curriculum of IIT-ISM is more elegant that IIT Patna. The faculties in both the college are well qualified but from a experience point of view, ISM have more experienced teachers. From a placement point of view, IIT Patna have a better placement package (around Rs 15 LPA in average) where as for IIT ISM its around Rs 10 LPA. So comparatively both the institute have there own advantage and disadvantage but from a over all consideration, IIT Patna is better than IIT ISM in terms of placements which can really help you to get a stable career ahead.

In my opinion you should go for IIT Dhanbad.

IIT Dhanbad has better infrastructure, better placement and faculty. IIT Patna is new . It will take many years to be at par with IIT dhanbad.

Undoubtedly IITP CSE is preferable over later one. It's growing with better pace than any of newer IITs.

The average placement statistics of CS Batch of '22 (current batch) is currently around 36 Lakh and is expected to drop to 30 by the end of this placement season. Last year it was around 24 lakh. Between these, surely IIT Patna CSE is far better.
