Please don't get confused between these two, go for IIT Guwahati straight away. Because, Jadavpur university is also good and not even known outside bengal. Whereas, the Indian institute of technology is known to everyone and if you say, you are from IIT the respect is merely very different. The value of a certificate from IIT's is really good and you can even get the jobs very easily.

So, think and take time, hope you will find and choose the best one.
