Jadavpur University - the mechanical engineering department of jadavpur University is one of the oldest departments under national council of education and largest at University. The department is actively engaged in various research projects of National importance, involving organizations like DRDO, BRNS, DST, ARDB, NSTL etc. And average salary offered in mechanical branch in last year was around 6 LPA. Highest salary is between 14 - 16 LPA.

Kurukshetra - the average package offered for mechanical branch is around 6.98 LPA. 54% of students were placed last year with highest average salary package offered was 18 LPA for mechanical engineering branch.

jamshedpur - this is also one of the oldest department under national council of education and largest in the University. In year 2021 96.5% of the students got placed from mechanical branch. The highest salary package offered is 16LPA and average is 7.3 LPA. no doubt the nit jamshedpur is one of the oldest as well as the best institute for mechanical engineering Aspirants.

For engineering courses students mostly think of placements while joining an Institute so based on above mentioned data Kurukshetra is not a good choice for mechanical engineering Aspirants in terms of Placement percentage as well as infrastructure for mechanical branch. So the choice is between jadavpur and jamshedpur. If we talk about nirf ranking then jadavpur is ranked 11th among top engineering colleges and 4th among Universities and 12 overall ranked. While as jamshedpur Is ranked 90 among the 100 best engineering institutes. So you can choose between jadavpur and jamshedpur.
