Dear aspirant,
College comparison depends on several factors. Here depending on some of the factors like Academics, faculty, Infrastructure, placement comparison between these two well established Institutes has been presented.
Academics and Faculty: As JNTUA is one of the oldest engineering colleges and started its department of Electrical Engineering on 1946 it can be said undoubtedly it's academics and Faculties are excellent. It's legacy in term of Academics is there from many years. JNTUA has immense number of professors most of who, have personally graduated from the college and done their Ph.Ds from tier-1 IITs.
In term of academics GVP is somehow better than JNTUA if you compare these two courses. GVP conduct ragular classes, and you should have the pressure to do that like most of the IITs and NITs. 18 faculty of ECE are Doctorates, 17 faculty members are pursuing Ph. D. in various reputed organizations and 10 Research Scholars are pursuing Ph. D. Under the guidance of ECE faculty.
Infrastructure: As JNTUA is one of the oldest engineering college it has no modern facilities to provide. They even does not improve their facilities that most of the private engineering colleges provides. Most of the equipment in Lav is outdated and the experiments performed don't meet the current industry requirements.
In term of infrastructure also GVP is far better. As it has well equipped library and laboratory with modern facilities and resources. There are also shuttle service for the students that's a pretty good point.
Placement : In term of placement of GVP in electronics and communication it has a good placement cell which try to provide each and every students placement in a good way. About 80% students get on campus placement form ECE. The maximum salary package of 19 LPA was offered by Amazon. Amazon, TCS Digital, Infosys and Wipro are the top recruiting companies that visit campus almost every year.
Almost 50% of the EEE students got placed. The lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA, the highest salary package offered is 10 LPA and the average salary package offered is 3 LPA. Though in this aspect too GVP is far better.
I would rather suggest you to choose GVP over JNTUA as in term of every aspect that an engineering student need GVP is far better in all of that than of JNTUA.
Hope it would be helpful.
Hello Aspirant,
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University was established in 1972 in Hyderabad. Later, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University got divided into its three independent Universities namely Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada. The University is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). JNTUA has 5 constituent colleges namely JNTUA College of Engineering, Ananthapuramu, JNTUA College of Engineering, Pulivendula, JNTUA College of Engineering, Kalikiri, JNTUA – Oil Technological and Pharmaceutical Research Institute (OTPRI), Ananthapuramu, JNTUA – Department of MBA, Ananthapuramu. JNTU Anantapur is affiliated with 98 Engineering Colleges, 33 Pharmacy Colleges and 29 stand-alone MBA/MCA colleges.

Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering abbreviated as GVPCE is a private engineering college which is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. The college offers degree programmes majorly in the field of engineering and technology. The undergraduate engineering programmes are offered in various disciplines which include Electronics And Communication Engineering, Electronics And Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences Engineering and Information Technology Engineering.
The average package in this college is 3 LPA. Companies like TCS, IBOEN, Wipro, VEDA IIT, GGK TECH etc come for placements for EEE.
Both the colleges are equal in placement scenario, but I think GVP is better in terms of faculty, teaching and other facilities.
