M.Ed is concerned with the practical aspects of teaching, whereas MA (Education) is concerned with advanced teaching in theoretical subjects. According to a recent Supreme Court decision, both MA (Education) and M.Ed will be considered equivalent degrees for the position of Assistant professor.
