Dear aspirant

There is not much difference in both the engineering colleges as both are equally good and best in its own way. However, VIT is an autonomous Institute affiliated to University of Pune on the other hand MIT has better ranking in NIRF engineering ranking. Both colleges have good placement records and most of the companies that visit VIT also visit MIT. But comparatively MIT students get better package offered by several well known companies, as last year highest package was of 37 LPA which was offered to a CSE student. Where as median salary offered to VIT Pune was of 4.5 LPA. In term of total course fees MIT has more fees comparatively. For four years B.Tech programme MIT has 12.40 Lacs, which is quite expensive, on the other hand VIT has 7.5 Lacs.

So, in term of Academics, faculty, facilities and placement MIT is somehow better than that of VIT. In term of average package offered VIT is far better than MIT as well as course fees are also much less than that of MIT. Now taking all the factors into consideration choice is yours.

Hope it would be helpful.

Hey friend!

Firstly Both are Private Colleges. But VIT Pune is slightly better than MIT Pune. As it is graded A++. Also Average Placement is 4.5 Lakhs . MIT Pune's average placement is 3.5 Lakhs. You should college in which you are getting scholarship. As they are more or less same.

According to different parameters VIT,Pune has upper hand over MIT,Pune.

VIT Pune is autonomous private engineering college. VIT used this power of autonomy to align it course content of IITs and introduced many subjects which are in demand . MIT Pune is a college which depends on the University of Pune for its curriculum and has no flexibility to any changes.

When it comes to location and infrastructure.. then MIT has upper hand on both things. MIT is having a huge campus and relatively better infrastructure. VIT Pune doesn’t have a proper playground. A small patch of land between buildings is used for parking, playground and place for functions.

Coming to faculties and staff VIT Pune has a better staff. In fact, many books by Tech Max ( Kinda Textbook for PU) are written by an ex or current proffs of VIT Pune. Each faculty complete 40 hrs of teaching and learning process for each subject.

With around ten years of autonomy, VIT has developed a robust curriculum which includes various language courses and professional development courses.

No. of holidays in VIT Pune is very high in comparison with any college in Pune. Moreover, most import thing is that passing in VIT Pune is very easy.

Extra curricular activities are almost same in both colleges.
