Greetings, aspirant!
Pharm D is a 6 year post graduate doctorate degree course that includes 5 years of academics and 1 year of internship. After finishing this course, candidates get a 'Dr.' title. The course curriculum mainly consists of fundamental concepts of pharmacy, practice etc. The job profiles after finishing your Pharm D include Pharmacist, consultant, healthcare professional, clinical scientist etc. You can opt to go abroad for your PhD program as well after finishing your Pharm D.
B.Pharm on the other hand is a bachelor's degree and is 4 years long. There's no dedicated time period for internships in these 4 periods. The course curriculum of B.pharm is focused on drug manufacturing, quality control, general field studies etc. The job profiles are not on par with Pharm D as it is not a post graduate program. You can opt to become a research professional, pharmacist, professor etc.
After finishing your B.Pharm, you can go for an M.Pharm or take a post Baccalaureate Pharm D (3 years) as well.
These are the primary differences in these two courses. If you're a 100% sure about making a career in Pharmaceuticals, then Pharm D might work better for you. If you opt to pursue B.Pharm and a post baccalaureate Pharm.D after that, it takes around 7 years as opposed to 6 years.
As per your preferences and conveniences, you can choose any of the two courses.
Hope this helps.
Best of luck!!
Hi
As per your question B.Pharma+M.Pharma is palms down the higher preference in phrases of
instructional qualification and activity opportunities. Such as running in MNCs, studies centres, coaching
positions etc
Diploma in pharmacy is a 2 year route which may be performed after completing 10+2 and is right if you
want to paintings in a medical store, small enterprise etc. A degree in pharmacy can earn you a lateral
entry into B.Pharma as well
To conclude B.Pharma+ M.Pharma is a long way superior to D.Pharma albeit lots longer in phrases of
length of part
It could be worth citing here that there may be any other diploma called Pharm.D that is a doctorate
level diploma in Pharma and must not be harassed with D.Pharma which is a Diploma.
Hope helpful.
