Both BBDU Lucknow and SRMU Barabanki are private universities in Uttar Pradesh and have been recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC). Both offers diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels courses in diffrent domains including science, humanities and social sciences. While BBDU Lucknow has collaborations with many international universities and Indian companies, SRMU Barabanki boasts of  collaboration with national and international institutes of higher learning. Both have hostel and medical facilities in its campus. However, none of them were ranked among top 100 universities in National Institute of Framework Ranking (NIRF) 2022.
